Marriage in Denmark is a function of the civilian authorities. A religious ceremony is optional but can only take place after the civil marriage.
To get married in Denmark you have to be 18 years old, unless you have a permission from the local Danish Courthouse. If you are widowed, divorced or under 18, things are more complicated and the preparations are a little bit more time consuming.
After we receive all required paper work, it will take about 14 days to get the approval from the Courthouse. Once approval is received we can start setting up your wedding package. The processing fee for all divorce documents is EUR 75,00, this is to be paid to ABC Travel Service.
According to Paragraph 13.3 of the Danish Marriage Act, the couple must pay Dkr. 500,- (EUR 69,00) Wedding Fee at the Wedding Hall. Some of the City Halls may require the fee in advance. At time of booking we need a down-payment of EUR 105.00. All Wedding Packages are available on request only. The couples that apply for marriage in Denmark need to fill out the Marriage Declaration, this document must be legible and have both original signatures. |
