This town is an active and exciting city with a difference. Flanked by hilly, wooded terrain, and with a panoramic view of the Fjord, its location is unrivalled.

The city boasts Denmark’s 7th largest harbour and is, despite its population of only 22,000 the central administrative city in Southern Jutland and a center for culture, trade and industry. There is a big city atmosphere here with a wide selection of shops, many of which line one of Denmark’s longest and most appealing pedestrian streets.

Stress has been placed on maintaining the town’s old atmosphere while making way for progress. On exploring the narrow side streets west of the pedestrian street, one suddenly finds oneself in the lovely old part of town, with cobblestone streets and beautifully preserved houses, and one’s thoughts are quickly transported back to the charming age of crinolines, horses and carriages.

Requirements: At time of registration you need to pay the Wedding Fee of Dkr. 500,-. The couple has to have a meeting and to get registered at the City Hall 3 working days in advance of the wedding. The couple has to plan far ahead of time; they have a long waiting time for appointments.

The hotel has 57 tastefully furnished en-suit bedrooms, all of which have hairdryer, minibar, radio, telephone and flat screen with cable-TV and 25 movie canals. Further more they have air-condition from May 1 till August 31. All our rooms have a large writing desk with a very comfortable swivel chair. If you want internet connection to your own lap-top we can offer this free of charge from the room. From the 1st of January 2008 all the rooms will be non-smoking rooms. They have hotspot wireless Internet connection installed all over the hotel. In the relaxing lobby there is always complementary coffee and tea for all guests. Furthermore there is a guest computer with Internet access which can be used free of charge. The hotel is also equipped with a sauna on payment.
